A Death Knight Tip – Things to Know In Your First Dungeon
Since the starting level for Death Knight is 55, it doesn't give you a chance to learn your class like every other class that has to start from level 1. So a lot of times you will be stuck with a 55 DK trying to dps or tank and looking pretty pathetic. You don't want to be that guy right? There are a few things to know before you go charging in not knowing what the heck your doing.
Things not to do
-Do not be in Frost Presence if you are not tanking… EVER!… you will pull agro
-If the Tank is already having a little trouble with agro… do not keep dropping Death and Decay as it causes a lot of threat to you.
-If you are not Frost DPS, do not dual wield. It doesn't benefit you as much as 2 hand weapons.
-Do not keep your pet on auto attack/defensive. Don't be lazy and start learning to control your pet for each fight now rather than later.
-Watch it when you are spamming your Death Coil incase your target dies and you pull something in the distance.
-Don't use your death grip just for fun since the target will attack you for 3 seconds no mater the agro and you will die if it's a hard mob.
Things you can do
-If you are in a bad spot and pull too much agro don't forget your cooldowns. AMS will absorb magic damage and Icebound will reduce physical damage, learn to use those in a pinch.
-You should always apply your disease and then spread disease to every mob, no matter if your dps or tank.
-Using Death Strike to heal yourself a little in times of trouble is a good idea, or even using Death Pact, it will sacrifice your pet and give you back 40% of your health.
When you get the hang of it you will notice DKs are pretty simple and have a lot of survivability, I find this helpful as a DK dps when big aoes happen in a boss fight and rogues and mages blow up but im still alive
