Building your empire on the popular game of FarmVille may not be as hard as you would think. As a matter of fact, it is fairly simple. Once you have devised a plan, and get the hang of running your online farm, things start to open up to where you can try several approaches to move up the levels of the game. There are common steps that all players must follow which consist of plowing, planting, and harvesting. Other strategies are on an individual player basis, and what you are trying to accomplish. Don’t, however, get sucked in right away to trying to build the biggest farm possible because it could lead to a fateful FarmVille pitfall that you need to avoid.
You need to start out small. You have a certain amount of money assigned to you when you start the game and though you have plans to have a big farm; it isn’t going to happen in the first session. Start out by clearing a small area of land within your farm, or plowing as some may call it, and immediately planting a crop on that plowed land. The reason for this is that it costs money, or coins, to do everything in FarmVille, and you don’t want to spend all of you money on just plowing because if you do then you won’t have any money to plant seeds, which also costs money. With no seeds planted, you will be sitting on a plowed farm that isn’t capable of returning any profit and what’s the point of that?
Once you have plowed and planted then you will start to get a feel for how much it is going to cost you to repeat the process and you can plow and plant as you see fit.
Before you plant anything, you will want to do a little research on what crops are available and how long they take to maturity (harvestable), and you will also want to think about your own schedule as well because these crops will wither away just as easy as they were planted if you do not return and tend to your farm in the necessary time. Wither time is double what the harvest time is, for instance, if you plant a crop that is available for harvest in 4 hours, it will wither after 8 hours if you have not returned to harvest your crops. If your crops take 2 days to reach maturity, then they will wither after 4 days. It is suggested that you coordinate this with your offline schedule, so that you can ensure you will not be wasting your profits.
As you avoid these fateful FarmVille pitfalls, you will be able to build your empire as big as you wish. After some time, as you achieve higher levels, you will unlock a lot of new features and things you can buy. Just remember, don’t shoot yourself in the foot from the get go and you will have a great experience on FarmVille.
